Dr. Impett is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto-Mississauga. Her research focuses on how close relationships influence our happiness and well-being. For example, in one line of research, she examines how an approach-avoidance motivational perspective can help us to understand why some relationships are successful while others falter and fail. She has recently begun collaborating with Dr. Rosen on an exciting project combining their research interests (motivation and dyspareunia).
