Jackie Huberman, PhD

Dr. Jackie Huberman joined the CaSH lab as a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in 2020, following completion of her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University. She completed her predoctoral residency in Health Psychology with the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Jackie’s multi-method research program seeks to better understand the processes involved in sexual response. She has published on the dynamic relationship between subjective and physiological sexual responses, and has used EEG to elucidate early stages of sexual processing on the neural level. She is looking forward to broadening her research program in the CaSH lab by studying interpersonal processes involved in sexuality. During her fellowship, Jackie is examining how couples navigate emotions when coping with sexual difficulties together.

Jackie also works in private practice where she sees individuals and couples with a range of emotional and mental health concerns.
