Heather Oliveira

I have been working with the lab since 2019, first as a volunteer, then as an undergraduate researcher completing both an independent research project and an honours thesis, and now in my current role as project and volunteer coordinator. My previous research focused on emotion regulation in couples when faced with sexual conflict as well as couples coping with chronic and distressing low sexual interest and arousal. The studies I am currently working on in the lab include research in the gendered and sexed orgasm experiences and couples coping with low sexual interest and arousal. I aspire to attend graduate school to further my research experience and to become a clinician focusing on individual and relational sexual health and well-being. When I’m not in the lab I am learning about wine, sharing good food with those I love and spending time outdoors or swinging kettlebells.
