I recently completed my MA in Psychology at Carleton University. Broadly speaking my research interests are focused on social relationships: how we form them, nourish them, and what breaks these relationships down, especially in the context of the cybersphere. Technology is such a huge part of our everyday life and yet there is relatively little research on para-social or online interactions. I have been doing research on this topic for the past couple of years and my thesis focused on technology-facilitated sexual violence and the risk and motivators behind it. In my free time, I spend as much time staring at trees in nature as I can and I am also an avid D&D player! I am excited to join the CaSH lab, work with other passionate researchers, and expand my horizons and knowledge of sexual health!
