I am thrilled to have recently joined the team at the Couples and Sexual Health Lab in August 2019 as a research assistant! I am currently in my fourth year of a BSc (honours) in Psychology at Dalhousie. The two studies that I will (mostly) be working on this year are, “Hey Baby” and “Project Journey”.
My research interests are vast – I have conducted a 3100/3101 Independent Research Project in the School of Communication Science and Disorders on communication breakdowns and repair strategies in children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, and have been involved in research projects through several other labs at Dalhousie. While my research has mostly focused on children, I am interested in communication between individuals and dyadic problem-solving. This, paired with my interest for human sexuality and relationships combined perfectly to draw me to the CaSH lab! I am excited to explore a new area of research with a totally new population and cannot wait to see where this experience takes me. In the future I hope to pursue graduate studies in Clinical Psychology.
Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering with Kids Help Phone, making music, cooking, and playing with my puppy, Dave.
